Home Building in Dublin

Our groundbreaking and breathtaking designs can be found in homes all around columbus and Chicago

When we design, we take our design cue from nature herself. The highest compliment we can receive is having our vision be in harmony with their surroundings.

We are updating our project photos and constructing this display. Come back and see what we are building tomorrow.

Photo of Rick coming soon

This is Rick. He also likes building houses.

Rick took a more roundabout path to his vocation. Originally was an excavator operator, this put him in the position to see all types of construction projects. Always seeing a better way to build he became a carpenter foreman, his father told him to always have something to fall back on. Rick stuck with his true passion for building to become one of the areas most respected builders.

A few of the projects we've been working on

Rick is a realist. Dan is the eternal optimist. When those to traits are coupled.there arent many limitations. Like designing and building on a smaller scale for Milo

This is Dan. He likes to design houses and renovations.

Dan's path to becoming a builder was as direct as they come. When he was 8 years old, he announced to his father that he wanted to be the best builder in the world. The die was cast, and Dan eventually became the accomplished Design/Build contractor he had hoped to.

Our History

It was fate that brought Dan and Rick together. Despite graduating from the same school of HKU 10 years apart, they'd never met until years later when they worked for the same construction company. Later at a building design seminar they would meet again to hear keynote speaker and renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer talk about his practice of using reinforced concrete for purely aesthetic reasons.Dan leaned over to Rick at the conclusion of the talk and said, "I'd use reinforced concrete for purely aesthetic reasons too." From that day, a friendship and partnership was born. They quickly identified the philosophies that would define their new company, MorterMartin Construction Specialists:

  • Always do right by the materials, the location, and the client
  • Never forget why you're building in the first place
  • No matter how you do it, leave your mark
