Rick took a more roundabout path to his vocation. Originally was an excavator operator, this put him in the position to see all types of construction projects. Always seeing a better way to build he became a carpenter foreman, his father told him to always have something to fall back on. Rick stuck with his true passion for building to become one of the areas most respected builders.

Rick is a realist. Dan is the eternal optimist. When those to traits are coupled.there arent many limitations. Like designing and building on a smaller scale for Milo
Dan's path to becoming a builder was as direct as they come. When he was 8 years old, he announced to his father that he wanted to be the best builder in the world. The die was cast, and Dan eventually became the accomplished Design/Build contractor he had hoped to.
It was fate that brought Dan and Rick together. Despite graduating from the same school of HKU 10 years apart, they'd never met until years later when they worked for the same construction company. Later at a building design seminar they would meet again to hear keynote speaker and renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer talk about his practice of using reinforced concrete for purely aesthetic reasons.Dan leaned over to Rick at the conclusion of the talk and said, "I'd use reinforced concrete for purely aesthetic reasons too."
